MomentumRibbon Swing Trading

The Momentum Indicator Ribbon is used to measure the "strength" of the stock. It's movement is based off three lines representing from the most sensitive to the least sensitive as Center line (Cyan), Upper (White), and Lower (Yellow). With a dotted indicator changing color indicating the buying or selling pressure accumulating.

When will it indicate: This indicator has a 2-step process prior to confirming the trend. The first process is emitting a green/red mark. When buying pressure decreases, a selling indicator (red dot) appears in the Upper line, and to add clarification, the Center line (the most sensitive line of the three) will cross the red mark, for instance. The Second Process is crossing the Lower line (the least sensitive line); a trend is not confirmed UNTIL a green/red mark is indicated, AS WELL AS both of those lines crossing the Lower line (Yellow line).

Is this indicator mobile-friendly: Of course, the indicator can be used for your mobile TOS application. The only difference you'll encounter is that the reversals will be in the form of peaks instead of dots due to the apps lack of dynamic colors.

Can this be used as a scanner: Of course! This indicator can be used to Scan stocks. On the Scan Query, be sure to use the "Reversal" variable and set it to greater than 1 within 3 bars to produce the best results.

Is this a lagging indicator: Since this indicator measures solely on MOMENTUM, there will be a slight 1-3 bar lag (depending on the accumulation of the stock), so it is ideal to have other indicators prior to making an investment decision.
