Tried this but the only password vtmarkets provided was the master password. I tried changing the investor using master but no luck. Unless someone else knows

To reset the investor (read-only) password in MT5:
  1. Open MT5
  2. Go to Tools → Options → Server
  3. Click Change Password
  4. Enter the Master password in Current password
  5. Select Change investor (read-only) password
  6. Set any new password in New password / Confirm
  7. Click OK
 
You tried exactly this ? Normally it works if you dont fail to enter master password correctly
 
Can be used on other brokers and if you know some of them I'm from Europe.. vtmarkets seems to have very bad reviews as not paying people
