    No, instead of using DLL, the EA works wonder on its own. But where is can last till future MT4 version is unknown, thats what im asking.

    You can't use old terminal version. because it's depend on the broker which version of the terminal can used.

    If you have a DLL EA and only work with old version terminal, you need to update the DLL file
