Don’t understand how you can loose 6% in one trade if your risk always 1% per trade?

 

Today was a losing day. Both trades lost. Whoever risked one percent lost more than 6%. But to be fair, this loss comes after so many weeks without a loss and so those who were in for weeks before wouldn't have lost money. But those who joined less than a week will be at a loss. But I still think, it is the best out of the bunch out there

 

So this is how the system works. He first sends two orders (buy stop and sell stop). When one gets triggered, you delete the other one which did not get triggered. Now most times, the one which got triggered will go on to win. However about five times in a month, the first triggered trade will lose. If that happens, a secondary trade is sent. With that trade, you have to use 6 times the lot size for the first trade which lost. 95% of the time, this secondary trade wins. However, in the event that trade loses like it did today, then you are losing the first trade (1%) and the second trade (6%). So in total you are losing 7%.

Can it be used for second trade not x6, but x3 for example, or x4 not to break daily drawdown ?

 

So the idea of the second trade is to help you recover the loss you made in the first trade with a tiny profit on it. He instructs that you use six times the lot size for the first one. That's how he has designed his system to bring you recovery for the first trade. If you use a lot multiplier less than than six times the first loss trade, you probably wont recover it all

The pld swing really has not done well in the past two weeks. The new swing looks promising. Let's hope it turns out to be better than the previous one as last week's swing had -4R for the week

Does anyone know the logic behind his orders? I understand that he has a high winrate because the TP is only 0.4 rr compared to 1rr SL

 

If you want to trade in Props I dont see it great tbh in my opinion

Ex: lets say 100k account as per drawdown rules u will not risk more than 4% for the day

Lets just say 4%/6 or 7 for the 2nd order and first order will be 4/7 = 0.5% risk

So you risking 500 dollars and ull make 0.45% if TP hits that is 225 dollars and if Reversal trade u might hit 0.2% to recover the first loss so max of 80 -100 usd

So on average with spreads and execution errors and difference in Pricing some days you might loose considering u wont all days as well

So lets just say u won most days on average u would have 150 dollars including 2nd tp trading days and single tp trading days

Doing the math of 150*36 winning days = 5400 u would have made and he hits a double sl so ull loose 4% thats like 4000 gone utlimately u would have not made any money considering spreads price differences etc

 

He trades the 4 hours range pre NY Open first order 0.45% target sl below other side 2nd order 0.2% target sl above other side 7x the order its like a martingale only

 

Can you use these signals in a funded account or prop firms will close the account?

 

Thanks for your reply, does he open buy and sell stops on the highs and lows of the most recent 4hr candle, and then cancels the opposite order depending which one gets hit first. Then if SL gets hit that becomes the order for the recovery at 6x the risk but smaller TP @ 0.2%
