Can we get more attention to this and to making more easy money by just trading for the swaps?

Many years ago, I saw a guy trade around roll-over time. His main trade would lose, but he would make very good money on the swaps. It blew my mind. He did not care about where the market went. He closed the trades quite fast after the swaps made him more than the open position. Also, the broker can change spreads every millisecond, but not the swaps. They are predetermined. So the money you will make on the swaps is pre-determined and only depends on your lotsize. You only need the market to be ranging, which it does around rollover time.

The easiest way to trade it:

1. You open your hedged positions by using this tool and seeing which 2 pairs will create a NET swap profit.
2. Then you leave the trades open to accumulate NET Swaps.
3. Then you close all trades once the swaps accumulated are higher than the floating Profit and Loss (P&L) of your hedged trades.
4. You can close your trades very fast after roll-over time, when the spreads are normalized. No need to pay for high spreads.

And since Swaps you will make are determined upfront, the money you make is determined by your lotsize. All of this is max 2 hours trading, without guessing the direction of the market.

 

when we start to open position?

 

Before your broker night time, before swaps are paid. So before the moment you can't open or close trades for several minutes. Every broker has this. Where they determine who pays or earns what amount of swap. You want to make sure the pair is not moving much, which usually is the case during those night hours. And you close the trade when you can trade again, usually takes 5 minutes, but you need to wait a bit for spreads to get smaller. With good brokers this happens fast.

Some people want to harvest swaps by keeping trades open for several days or weeks. This is waaaay too risky since price movements (in the wrong direction can eat your swap profit away) and this is not needed.

So, all you need to do is NOT over-complicate it. I saw one guy trading this way many years ago. He shared with me what he was doing. He would lose let's say 50 $ on the main trade (due to spreads and small market movement) and make 300-400 $ on the swaps. But he was trading large lotsizes.
I wanted to build an EA, but had no skills to do so. So, this tool seems very well suited for it.
