From what I have learned so far the iceberg can be identified as a sign of reversal. Where absorption is happening. Then we can join the reversal when aggression (aggressive market order) is being made. Support by cumulative data and the numbers can be validated through footprint.

DOM is actually good to notice this iceberg but since we have the footprint, the DOM is not essential. Even Trader Dale not using it and Nirav also prefer the footprint as its record all the actual orders has been made.

I would look for a 30-50 pip reversal in principle after a 400 pip move.

 

LEt me show you how my day was. I caught the breakout on US30 on the way up for almost 35.000 points in 2 hours, at around 16:30. The market switched from trending to a range. I played in the range and i had a bigger position open but i wasn't quite paying attention as I wasn't expecting any big moves at 20:30 with no high impact FED and economics news expected. I come back to the chart and my position was 2/3 in a DD in that middle-down trend which took like 1 hour. So i'm like well i tried everything to hedge and try a reversal to shave off some $, i'll just close my 2 remaining positions. Just take the loss, learn from it and move on. I left scratching my head as to what happened and went to get dinner. I come back and open mt4 and look at the chart again. From where i left it, the market rallied again for 48000 points for another 1 hour. WTF IS THIS JEDI MIND TRICK SHIT???? I tried using fibs for a potential retracement. Went right through it. I tried some reversals when touching the 50 SMA - irrelevant. The long oblique trend line towards the bottom got smashed through. After all that, the market casually returns to the area where the strong selloff started. I love trading the US30 index but this right here is retarded. Like i can't even right now.

 

Recently, I was convinced that I found the biggest hole on EUR / USD in 20 years because it was so ... The price was the lowest in 20 years. I packed up to 10 lots on a $ 20 deposit only. I had an equity of $ 220, I made a deposit ten times. I kept my position open, convinced that the price would only go up. I was wrong ... I lost everything and added more.

My point was that we are taught to trade with the trend, except on US30 you get un uptrend and you try to trade with the trend but then it reverses on you making lower lows so you try to change your strategy to adapt and deal with your existing open trades and dd but then out of nowhere the trend changes again. I'm talking 40-50.000 points in 1 hour in both directions. Clearly trading with the trend might work on eurusd or gbpusd but this Us30 index is ridiculous. I don't know why but i love trading it.

It's like riding a horse, except when it moves like a leopard. Before you know it you are hanging upside down in a tree asking yourself how the hell did i get up here? Or, oh not again!

Yesterday it moved 120.000 points up. At a 1.0 lot size that moves 1000 points is 10$.

My fundraiser contained links to other sellers.
